Injury-hit Crystal Palace looking at Norwegian striker Alexander Sorloth to boost attacking options

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson is prioritising a striker in case Christian Benteke gets injured or needs a rest and is looking at FC Midtjylland's Norwegian international Alexander Sorloth and Jordan Hugill of Preston, both valued around £8million.

Hugill was left out of the Preston squad that played Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night amid increasing interest from The Eagles.

Palace also need to agree a fee with Getafe in order to sign goalkeeper Vicente Guiata today, though they can get him for nothing in the summer when he becomes a free agent, and retain an interest in bringing in Lille midfielder Ibrahim Amadou.
