Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has been urged by club legend Ian Wright to go back in for Houssem Aouar to provide the perfect midfield foil alongside Thomas Partey.
Arsenal were in hot pursuit of both Aouar and Partey in the summer transfer window, and the Gunners eventually wrapped up a £45million move for Partey from Atletico Madrid on deadline day.
Lyon held firm over Arsenal's heavy interest in their playmaker but Wright has called for Arsenal to not stand down in their pursuit - insisting the club are still crying out for creativity in the middle of the pitch.
