Jamie Vardy drank almost an entire bottle of port the night before he broke Ruud van Nistelrooy's goalscoring record, former Leicester team-mate Ritchie De Laet has revealed.
The Leicester striker netted in a record 11th consecutive Premier League game in a row against Manchester United to eclipse the Dutchman's record of 10 with the Red Devils.
Vardy's 24 league goals fired the Foxes to a history-making title and saw him finish second in the Golden Boot, level with Sergio Aguero and one behind Harry Kane.
