Sydney FC coach Steve Corica has revealed the pain and disappointment of failing to win the A-League Premiers Plate meant he couldn't watch Perth Glory lift the trophy.
The Sky Blues fell short of their targeted silverware as the Glory defeated Newcastle Jets 1-0 to open up an assailable eight-point lead at the top of the A-League with two regular season matches to play.
Perth lifted the Premiers Plate in front of their supporters after the victory against the Jets at HBF Park, but Corica wasn't able to take in the presentation of the trophy the Sky Blues have won the past two consecutive seasons.
