Health Secretary Matt Hancock has opened the door for both the Premier League and horse racing to return behind closed doors, but has stressed the significance of ensuring safety before any decision.
English football's top flight has been suspended since early March after the coronavirus began causing chaos in sport.
But officials are now plotting to finish the season - with mid-June the target to return to the pitch. Horse racing also has its sights on resuming after chiefs said it could be ready within a week if it was given the green light.
