Hull striker Adama Diomande has been charged with violent conduct after appearing to strike Bristol City's Marlon Pack in Tuesday's EFL Cup game.
The incident occurred in the closing minutes of Hull's 2-1 away victory, and was apparently missed by officials.
The Football Association said: "It is alleged that Diomande's behaviour in or around the 90th minute of the fixture constitutes violent conduct."
Hull's win earned them a tie against Newcastle in the quarter-finals.
