Huddersfield star Danny Williams will return 'fitter and stronger' from broken leg, insists David Wagner

Huddersfield boss David Wagner believes injured midfielder Danny Williams will return 'fitter and stronger' after being ruled out for the rest of the season.

USA international Williams, 29, is scheduled to have surgery on Friday after fracturing a distal fibula during training on Wednesday.

'We are all disappointed that Danny has suffered this injury and now we offer him our full support as he begins his recovery,' Wagner told the club's official website.

'He's a big character in the dressing room too and I have no doubt that he will be determined to come back fitter and stronger than before.
