Huddersfield Town are set to sign highly-rated Nurnberg playmaker Abdelhamid Sabiri in David Wagner’s 10th summer transfer.
Sabiri, a 20-year-old Moroccan, scored five goals in nine games in the German second division last season and is viewed as having great potential.
Huddersfield made an inquiry in late July and have been working on a permanent move since, with a fee of around £1million understood to have been agreed.
Sabiri, who has a dual passport, is likely to go into Huddersfield’s development squad given the team’s fine start to the Premier League season but will offer Wagner a creative presence in future.
