Premier League newcomers Huddersfield are bracing themselves for an unsavoury legal battle after sacking goalkeeping coach Nick Colgan.
The former Republic of Ireland international has been informed by the club’s new head of football operations David Moss that his services were no longer required.
And Sportsmail understands Colgan has approached the League Manager’s Association as he considers taking legal action against the Terriers over his shock dismissal.
The news of Colgan’s departure has been met with surprise at the newly-promoted club; the 43-year-old a key part of manager David Wagner’s backroom team that helped propel the club to Premier League promotion via the play-offs last season.
