After hours of talks, there has still been no agreement on the vast majority of Premier League players taking a wage cut or deferral amid the coronavirus crisis.
A blanket reduction of 30 per cent across the division was rejected last weekend over concerns the government would lose out of £200million of tax money.
And while Southampton became the first club to agree deferrals with their players on Thursday, the top-flight's other 19 clubs are yet to confirm deals.
With no agreement in sight, Sportsmail's reporters explain how they would resolve the ongoing wage cut issue between the Premier League, clubs and the players.
