He owes it to his teammates - Klopp on Salah reaching Liverpool milestone

Mohamed Salah scoring 50 goals for Liverpool would not have been possible without ‘wonderful’ supplies from his teammates, according to coach Jurgen Klopp, who expects the striker to be thankful.

Prior to the international break, the former Roma star has struggled to apply himself in the way he did during his magnificent debut campaign with the Reds, having not scored since a 3-0 win over Southampton in September.

He grabbed the winner in Saturday’s Premier League win over Huddersfield Town to reach 50 goals in English football for both Chelsea and the Reds.

But his brace in Wednesday’s 4-0 Champions League victory over Red Star Belgrade saw him reach the landmark for the Anfield outfit - doing so in a record 65 games.
