Jordan Henderson's leadership qualities were spotted early on by Steve Bruce during his tenure at Sunderland.
Bruce, now in charge of Sunderland's rivals Newcastle United, managed Henderson during the formative years of the Liverpool captain's career at the Stadium of Light.
Now, Henderson has lifted the Champions League and is on the verge of winning the Premier League and Bruce insists he saw Henderson's devoted attitude and sense of authority straight away in 2009.
