Leicester City's Premier League title win last season was founded on consistency of selection, but Claudio Ranieri will have to play 'tinkerman' again in early 2017 after it was confirmed that he will lose four players to the Africa Cup of Nations.
That includes the talismanic Riyad Mahrez, who is almost certain to represent Algeria in Gabon between January 14 and February 5. The PFA Players' Player of the Year is likely to miss games against Chelsea, Southampton, Burnley and Manchester United.
He will be joined in Gabon by compatriot Islam Slimani, and team-mates Jeffrey Schlupp and Daniel Amartey.
