Former Arsenal defender William Gallas believes Mikel Arteta should never have been appointed manager of his former club and thinks Patrick Vieira should be the man to replace him.
Arteta's 'revolution' has crumbled this season, his side sitting 15th in the Premier League without a win in their last six top flight matches.
Speaking to Ladbrokes, Gallas said: 'What's going on at Arsenal? It's a question I think everybody has asked this season. I don't know the answer.
'I think maybe the issue at the moment is that Mikel Arteta is not the right manager.
