Players and clubs united on social media to send their wishes to the Red Devils and the 23 tragic victims of the 1958 airplane crash
Many footballers and football clubs took to Twitter to pay their respects on the 59th anniversary of the Munich air disaster.
On February 6, 1958, a plane carrying Manchester United's 'Busby Babes' crashed while trying to take off in West Germany, killing 23 of the 44 passengers on board.
Among those who lost their lives were crew members, journalists, and many United players and staff.
After the crash, United amazingly rebuilt their team, winning the European Cup 10 years later, in 1968.
