Football League clubs to be asked to review prices after survey reveals watching Premier League away game costs less than the Championship

The Football League will call on clubs to review ticket prices after it was revealed it can be cheaper to attend a Premier League away game than in the Championship.

The average price of the dearest away ticket in the Premier League is £29.44, while in the Championship it is £31.57. It comes after all 20 top-flight clubs agreed to cap prices for visiting fans at £30.

It means while the new £5billion TV deal has helped supporters of Premier League sides, those in the second tier of English football are still suffering.
