The Football Association is willing to step in and mediate in the wages stand-off between Premier League players and their clubs after its chairman Greg Clarke warned of 'economic challenges beyond our wildest imagination.'
Clarke cautioned that club and leagues could collapse if these is not a resolution to the dispute with Premier League players and the Professional Footballers' Association minded to reject a recommended 30 per cent pay reduction during the coronavirus crisis.
But the FA is willing to intervene and try and resolve the dispute although they have yet to be approached to do so.
