The company overseeing testing of Premier League players for coronavirus have sought to assuage concerns after it was revealed their results are not 100 per cent reliable.
Hong Kong-based biotechnology firm Prenetics will carry out around 800 tests, twice a week, during 'Project Restart'.
Newcastle's Danny Rose said on Tuesday that players are being treated like 'lab rats' and branded initial non-contact training sessions an 'experiment'.
Prenetics chief executive Avi Lasarow told Sportsmail that their tests were approximately 98.8 per cent accurate - in line with those conducted by the NHS.
