The Swiss Super League outfit is hoping to seal an ambitious move for the striker after Liverpool banished him to train alone during the transfer window.
Mario Balotelli is in talks with FC Sion over a loan move, according to the club's chairman.
The Italian is not part of Jurgen Klopp's first-team plans and was pictured training alone on Wednesday with both Liverpool and the player working towards a summer exit.
Balotelli has been linked with a return to Italy throughout the summer, namely Chievo and Sassulo, but now a move to Switzerland could be in the offing.
