Swansea City have stepped up their shock loan pursuit of Nicolas Gaitan and will offer the Atletico Madrid man £120,000 a week.
The Premier League's basement side are desperate to avoid relegation and recently had a managerial change, with Carlos Carvalhal replacing Paul Clement last month.
And, according to The Sun, Swans chairman Huw Jenkins is also keen to add to the squad and will make the 29-year-old the club's best paid player for the remainder of the season.
The Argentine playmaker, once linked with Manchester United, has struggled for regular first-team football in Spain after joining from Benfica in 2016.
