'Everyone agrees LFC deserve to win the title... safety comes first': West Ham's Karren Brady clarifies her stance after criticism for calling for the Premier League to cancel this season

West Ham vice-chairman has clarified her position after claiming the 2019-20 Premier League season should be declared 'null and void' should the coronavirus continue to spread.

On Friday, the Premier League all fixtures will be postponed until at least April 3 after Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta contracted the disease.

There remains hope that the pandemic will ease in time for clubs to fulfill their remaining fixtures, but Brady had suggested this outcome 'may well be dreamland.'

My point was safety of fans, players, staff come 1st & if the remaining games just cannot be played the only fair & reasonable thing is to declare season null and void.
