Everton bid to sign Jairo Riedewald ahead of Crystal Palace seems to have arrived too late.
The 20-year-old Ajax defender looks set to keep his promise of linking up with his former boss Frank de Boer at Selhurst Park for £8.7million.
Riedwald also had interest from Newcastle United and Tottenham but believes he will gain more game time under de Boer and is heading to Palace.
Holland international Riedwald can play at left back, centre back and defensive midfield, has three caps for his country and scored one goal in 27 appearances for Ajax last season.
