Everton have announced that Marcel Brands has been hired as the club's new director of football.
Brands joins from PSV, where he helped the Dutch club win the 2017-18 Eredivisie title as their sporting director.
The 56-year-old Dutchman replaces Steve Walsh, who leaves the Toffees after two seasons.
Walsh follows Sam Allardyce out the door after Everton also announced on Wednesday that the manager would not be continuing with the club in 2018-19.
The changes were expected at Everton after a disappointing season that saw the Toffees finish in eighth place in the Premier League, failing to improve following a summer spend of nearly £200 million ($270m).
