Everton midfielder Muhamed Besic is close to agreeing terms on a loan move to Middlesbrough.
The 25-year-old Bosnia international has struggled to impress under Sam Allardyce this season and has made only two Premier League appearances.
Besic will link up with Tony Pulis' side for the rest of the season as Boro continue their bid for promotion from the Championship.
Although he is most comfortable as a defensive midfielder, the former Ferencvaros man can also play at centre back.
