Everton have held talks with Nuno Espirito Santo as they have intensified their efforts to find Carlo Ancelotti's replacement.
Nuno, the former Wolves manager, has been contacted by Farhad Moshiri, Everton's major shareholder, to assess his position; the Portuguese is also wanted by Crystal Palace and had talks last week with the South London club.
Goodison Park officials held a virtual board meeting on Wednesday to whittle down candidates and the main challenger to Nuno, at this stage, is David Moyes. The Scot, who previously had an 11-year stay at Everton, has been offered a new three-year deal by West Ham after guiding them into Europe.
