Chelsea will press ahead with the proposed £44million double signing of Roma pair Edin Dzeko and Emerson Palmieri this week.
Dzeko is expected to start for Roma against Inter Milan on Sunday but Roma recognise, despite his goals, this is their best opportunity to cash in on the Bosnia international who will be 32 in March and one of their highest wage earners.
Dzeko is open to a move having been a target for Chelsea prior to his move to Italy.
