Defender Lewis Dunk has become the first Brighton and Hove Albion player to be called up to the England squad for 36 years after he was named as a late replacement for Burnley’s James Tarkowski.
The centre-back has been added to Gareth Southgate's 25-man squad for trips to Croatia and Spain in the Nations League during the international break.
Dunk, who signed a new contract with his hometown club this week, was named man-of-the-match in his side’s 1-0 win over West Ham on Friday and is the first Albion player to receive a Three Lions call-up since Steve Foster was included in Ron Greenwood’s squad for the 1982 World Cup in Spain.
