Di Canio sacked from television channel due to fascist tattoo

Italian social media users reacted furiously to the sight of the ex-forward's far-right body art, which led Sky Sport to end his association with the channel.

Former West Ham star Paulo Di Canio has been removed from an Italian television program after an outpouring of complaints over the presenter's fascist tattoo.

Di Canio, who also played for Sheffield Wednesday and Lazio during his career, was frequently embroiled in controversy related to his links with far-right groups.

And he caused uproar on Tuesday when he wore a short-sleeved shirt on air, revealing a tattoo bearing the fascist slogan DVX.
