Huddersfield chief executive Dean Hoyle has agreed a deal to regain full control of the club from former owner Phil Hodgkinson.
Sportsmail has learned that legal papers confirming the transfer of Hodgkinson's shares were exchanged at Wembley on Sunday, with Hoyle set to get 100 per cent ownership of the defeated Championship play-off finalists.
Hoyle first bought Huddersfield in 2009 before selling 75 per cent of his shares to Hodgkinson after they were relegated from the Premier League 10 years later, but the owner failed to deliver the promised investment and the majority of his other businesses entered administration last year, leaving the club facing a financial crisis.
