A Perth-based football club has announced the signing of former Premier League striker David Goodwillie, who was found by a UK civil judge to have raped a woman.
Sorrento FC, who play in the National Premier League, confirmed on Wednesday morning that they had signed the Scottish forward. He has won three caps for his country.
The West Australian reports that in a statement posted on Facebook, Sorrento coach Steve McGarry said: 'With David, we get a player with real quality and experience.
'He's played in the top leagues in England and Scotland while also representing Scotland at international level, so he's a massive addition to the club.
