David Beckham believes England will rekindle their rivalry with Argentina in the 2018 World Cup final, with Harry Kane and Co. being backed to book a date with Lionel Messi and the Albiceleste.
The former Three Lions skipper was among the interested observers as Gareth Southgate’s side got off to the perfect start in Russia with a dramatic 2-1 victory over Tunisia.
Argentina did not fare as well in their opener, with Barcelona superstar Messi missing a penalty as they were held 1-1 by Iceland.
There is, however, still a long way to go and Beckham – who has plenty of personal history with the South Americans from the 1998 and 2002 events – believes two old adversaries will find enough form to book a showdown in Moscow on July 15.
