Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha hit back at claims from former team-mate Brede Hangeland that he has a lazy mindset, accusing the Norwegian of lying to 'stay relevant'.
Hangeland made headlines after his revealing interview with Norwegian podcast Heia Fotball, in which he named a 'Lazy XI' that included the likes of Emmanuel Adebayor, Mousa Dembele and Jimmy Bullard as well as Zaha.
Playing together at Crystal Palace, Hangeland claimed Zaha would 'do five push-ups, sigh, then leave', before suggesting he could have been a huge talent had he been 'serious'.
But Zaha denied the allegation, stating on Twitter: 'I don't appreciate old team mates telling lies just to stay relevant!
