Crystal Palace, Leeds and Reading in fight to sign Preston's Jordan Hugill after striker was pulled out of team to play Nottingham Forest on Tuesday

Crystal Palace, Leeds and Reading are battling to sign Preston target man Jordan Hugill who was withdrawn from the team to play Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night due to the interest in him.

Leeds have had an £8m bid for Hugill rejected but Palace may be ready to meet Preston’s £10m valuation.

The 25-year-old has scored 10 goals in 29 appearances so far this season but Preston boss Alex Neil claimed Hugill was not ready to play on Tuesday.
