Crystal Palace are in talks over an initial loan deal for Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Odilon Kossounou.
Palace want a centre-back amid interest from Newcastle United in Joachim Andersen while Marc Guehi is also coveted.
Palace are trying to negotiate a loan with obligation to buy around £24million for Kossounou.
The defender is highly rated in the Bundesliga and would be a welcome addition to Palace's defensive options this summer.
They are also continuing talks with Chelsea over a loan deal for Lewis Hall.
