This afternoon’s clash starts a month-long period in which Watford will have to face several of the teams currently battling in the bottom half of the table. Games against Sunderland, Swansea and Hull are all fast approaching, and Walter Mazzarri will no doubt be pushing for victories in each of them as he attempts to guide his side back into the top 10.
As for Watford, their early season success means that they are likely to avoid being dragged into the fight to avoid relegation, but, without a victory in their last three games, they can’t take anything for granted.
