Cristiano Ronaldo stormed past Jimmy Greaves' 46-year-old European record with a double against Celta Vigo on Wednesday night.
The goals took his tally in Europe's top five leagues - England, Spain, Germany, Italy and France - to 368, two clear of former Tottenham, Chelsea and West Ham striker Greaves.
With a good few years left in him at 32, Ronaldo will go well beyond Greaves' record if he keeps up his average of over 35 league goals a season in Spain.
And that is bad news for the La Liga teams that have been mere cannon fodder for the four-time Ballon d'Or winner.
