Claudio Ranieri has urged for patience in expecting Daniel Amartey to fill the hole left by N'Golo Kante but confirmed central midfield is where he sees the 21-year-old's long-term future.
Amartey has shown promising signs alongside Danny Drinkwater, turning in one of his best Leicester displays in the Champions League victory over Porto and reaching high standards against Swansea and Brugges.
The Ghana international struggled to impose his presence during trips to Anfield and Old Trafford, though, with both matches ending in 4-1 losses and claims that Kante was being missed sorely.
But Ranieri explained those losses were due to a lack of team unity.
