Twenty20 record breaker Chris Gayle has signed for St Lucia Zouks for the 2020 Caribbean Premier League.
The 40-year-old has become the Zouks’ marquee player, following his release from his native Jamaica Tallawahs, and teams up with another new man in ex-England coach Andy Flower at a franchise that finished next to bottom last year.
Gayle, aiming to become a triple world champion with West Indies later this year, has dominated T20 cricket over the last two decades: his career return of 22 hundreds is 14 more than his nearest rivals have managed while he has crunched 13296 runs, a full 3296 ahead of international team-mate Kieron Pollard in second place.
