Chris Coleman has conceded his head was turned ‘a little’ by an approach from Hull during the summer but resisted a Premier League move because he is still ‘desperate’ for more success as Wales manager.
Hull were keen to appoint Coleman as a replacement for Steve Bruce after the 46-year-old steered his country to the semi-finals of Euro 2016 and would likely have trebled his wages.
The prospect of guiding Wales to the 2018 World Cup in Russia was a bigger carrot for Coleman though, and he said that desire had not dampened even after achieving the remarkable in France.
