Chelsea have not given up hope of signing Declan Rice and will go back in for the West Ham star in the January transfer window, according to reports.
Rice has emerged as one of England's best players after shining for West Ham in the heart of midfield, and he has attracted long-term interest from London rivals Chelsea.
Chelsea were in hot pursuit of Rice, a former youth product of the club, in the summer transfer window but a £60million move failed to materialise.
But according to The Athletic, Chelsea are hoping Rice ignores any of West Ham's advances to tie home down to a new contract at the London Stadium as the Blues look to snap up his signature in January.
