Chelsea striker Armando Broja is ruled out for the SEASON after rupturing his cruciate ligament in a mid-World Cup break friendly, leaving them a forward light while Cristiano Ronaldo lurks as a free agent

Chelsea's Armando Broja will miss the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury in a mid-season friendly against Aston Villa.

The Albanian forward has sustained a ruptured cruciate ligament in the encounter, that saw the Blues succumb to a 1-0 defeat from Unai Emery's side, and will be out until at least the end of the 2022-23 campaign.

Broja was taken off in the 24th minute of the match, played in Abu Dhabi, and leaves Graham Potter with few options up front heading into the January transfer window.
