Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata mobbed at Singapore airport as he prepares to link up with Antonio Conte's squad

Alvaro Morata was mobbed by Chelsea fans at Changi International Airport as he arrived in Singapore ahead of linking up with his new team-mates.

The Spanish striker made the trip to Asia after sealing a £70.6million transfer from Real Madrid on Friday and was greeted by hundreds of fans and television cameras as he made his way through the terminal.

He will have to wait to introduce himself to Antonio Conte's men, however, as they are not due to arrive until next week and will play Arsenal at the Bird's Nest Stadium in Beijing on Saturday.
