Chelsea not planning to punish Kepa Arrizabalaga for substitution row

Chelsea have no plans to punish Kepa Arrizabalaga despite the goalkeeper refusing to be substituted during Sunday's Carabao Cup final defeat by Manchester City.

The Blues No 1, who moved to Stamford Bridge in a world-record £71.6million deal last summer, defied Maurizio Sarri when the boss attempted to bring on Willy Caballero shortly before the penalty shootout at Wembley.

Kepa and Sarri have since explained that there was a misunderstanding between them, with the Italian believing his goalkeeper needed to be taken off due to cramp.
