Marcos Alonso has been one of the Premier League signings of the season, and the Chelsea wing-back has revealed it was always in his mind to one day ply his trade again in England.
It was Owen Coyle who first brought Alonso to these shores in July 2010 at Bolton for an undisclosed fee from Real Madrid, and the Spaniard went on to make 46 appearances for the Trotters despite relegation from the top flight.
Despite now experiencing the more enjoyable end of the Premier League spectrum under Antonio Conte, Alonso has confessed to always having one eye on Chelsea's fortunes earlier on in his career.
