Chelsea 'given opportunity to pursue £50m Atletico Madrid's Thomas Lemar' as Frank Lampard looks to make first signings as Blues boss... but 'rivals Spurs are also interested'

Chelsea have reportedly been given the opportunity to pursue Atletico Madrid's £50million-rated winger Thomas Lemar.

Blues boss Frank Lampard will be looking to add to his squad during the winter transfer window following the club's transfer ban last summer.

And 24-year-old Lemar could be an option with Atletico wanting a £5m loan deal or £50m for a permanent switch, according to The Evening Standard.

Lemar has made 21 appearances for the LaLiga side this campaign but has made just 10 starts.
