Emma Hayes says the Women’s Super League must leave the FA to progress as a business and called on the Premier League to offer a huge investment after England’s Euro 2022 triumph.
The Lionesses victory last month has created a buzz around the new league season and several clubs have reported record ticket sales in the last two weeks.
The FA have run the WSL since its inaugural season in 2011 but Hayes, who is celebrating 10 years as manager of Chelsea on Sunday, believes the women’s game will only progress further if it parts ways with governing body.
