Charlie Adam has escaped punishment for his alleged stamp on Alexis Sanchez during Saturday's clash against Arsenal.

Television replays show the Stoke midfielder catch Sanchez with his boot in the build up to Gunners' third goal scored by Alex Iwobi.

The incident was missed by referee Lee Mason at the time, but the former Liverpool midfielder was still facing retrospective FA action on Monday.
