Premier League star Ashley Barnes has been charged for drink-driving after being arrested in the early hours of the morning following Burnley's top-flight survival celebrations.
Barnes, 31, is reported to have had a four-hour drinking session with his Burnley team-mates on the coach journey back following their victory over Fulham last Monday.
The Burnley striker was later pulled over by police after getting behind the wheel of his £55,000 Mercedes V-Class people carrier near his home and was arrested after failing a breathalyzer test.
Cheshire Police confirmed that Barnes had been arrested and charged in a statement, which read: 'At around 3am on Tuesday, May 11, officers stopped a black Mercedes V220.
