Burnley fans banned from travelling to local rivals Blackburn Rovers for U23 clash amid fears of crowd trouble

Away fans were banned from attending an Under 23 match between two traditional rivals on Friday afternoon.

Supporters of Burnley were forbidden from travelling the short distance to Blackburn Rovers' Ewood Park home for their 2pm kick-off amid fears of crowd trouble.

And Rovers fans will not be allowed to make the return journey to Turf Moor for the January 23 clash after a meeting between the rival Lancashire clubs and police.
