Burnley close to finalising signing of Wolfsburg striker Wout Weghorst for £12million following positive talks with the Dutch international

Burnley are closing on the £12m transfer of Wout Weghorst from Wolfsburg after productive talks on Saturday.

Talks have been on and off for the past fortnight but had become more positive in recent days with Weghorst missing training with his Bundesliga club on Friday.

The Holland international has been keen to move to England to realise his dream of playing in the Premier League and the 6ft 6ins striker now hopes to have a deal agreed over the next 24 hours.
